Adesanya vs Pyfer Main - Seattle 3/28

Here is what UFC Seattle looks like now (hopefully for the final time:

Israel Adesanya vs. Joe Pyfer
Maycee Barber vs. Alexa Grasso
Michael Chiesa vs. Niko Price
Mansur Abdul-Malik vs. Yousri Belgaroui
Lerryan Douglas vs. Julian Erosa
Terrance McKinney vs. Kyle Nelson
Gabriella Fernandes vs. Casey O’Neill
Marcio Barbosa vs. Kangjie Zhu
Lance Gibson Jr. vs. Chase Hooper
Bruno Lopes vs. Navajo Stirling
Bruna Brasil vs. Alexia Thainara
Ignacio Bahamondes vs. Tofiq Musayev
Tyrell Fortune vs. Marcin Tybura

lol @ that card.

I think vegito pyfer gets smoked as Izzy should be too fast and outclass him, but if pyfer catches him early who knows. He throws some serious heat before he inevitably stands there and waits for a decision

Good fight. The rest of the card is dog shit.

327 is fuckin awesome though!

Adesanya should fucking smoke Pyfer in the first round, but idk, my gut feels like this could be either a 2nd round Pyfer KO victory (punch) or a super boring split decision for Pyfer. This just feels like a final nail in the coffin moment we’ve kinda seen before. I’m not a big Izzy fan, but I’d like to see him win here.

I’m excited but scared. Everyone knows Izzy is my favorite active fighter.

On paper Izzy is well above the level of Pyfer and is probably even a better grappler. I also don’t think Joe has the speed of Izzy even at this age, or the reflexes.

But he does have the explosiveness and the power. All he needs to do is land one big shot and Izzy is in trouble. I don’t necessarily think Izzy’s chin is gone either, he can take a shot, but Pyfer is probably top 2 or 3 at 185 in terms of raw power.

If Izzy wants to win he needs to let Pyfer come to him and set him up for big counters. Joe makes a lot of technical mistakes but Izzy needs to keep it a clean fight.

I see Pyfer flatlining him in rd 2

We are in agreement then, sir

Of all the things that can happen I don’t think Pyfer wins a boring split decision. If anything Izzy gets it done in a boring way.

Idk, Pyfer is big, durable, and usually applies pressure, which will put him in the center of the octagon. I see Izzy with his back to the fence a lot in this fight. If he can’t land on his counters for whatever reason, I could see the judges giving Pyfer a decision. OR Izzy could flatline Pyfer like he did to Poatan and I imagine it would play out very similar in the leadup to the KO. Idk. Guess we’ll see. Izzy is on a skid and who knows how his confidence in the cage will affect his gameplan.

Yeah I guess we will see how Izzy looks. Hopefully he’s not done yet.

I need more Izzy in the UFC.

His ‘decline’ has been weird. KO’d Mr Invincible for his all time career highlight.
Then didn’t take Strickland seriously and paid for it with a decision loss, looked good against DDP but lost a 4th round scramble, and then got caught with a huge overhand from Imavov which seemed more like a ‘shit happens’ moment imo

Want to see him get back a W and continue now.
