the corgi in disguise thread got me thinking. i really don’t want my ladies genes coming through to my boys especially when it comes to height. she’s 5 3 and i’m 6 even. any of you guys impregnate a shorty? how’d it turn out?

I’m 6’4 and my son’s mom is 5’5 and he’s 6’1. He’s fully grown. My dad is 5’9 and my mom is 5’6. Genetics are a funny thing. You may get characteristics from people a couple generations back or you may look a lot like your parents. Or I may look like the really tall and handsome guy my mom was obviously banging 46 years ago.

Always thought the most likely genetic line for a son came from mom’s dad (maternal grandfather).

that’s what i’ve always heard about hairlines but my moms dad was bald at 20. i’m 41 with a full head of hair. thank god.

I’m not kidding, if I had to choose between my beard and a full head of hair I wouldn’t hesitate to choose the beard. I started shaving my head in my early 30’s and it has never bothered me.

I’m 5’8”. My wife is 5’2”. Our son is already 5’6” at 14 and is projected to finish up between 5’10” and 6’ tall when he is done growing. I’m the smallest in my family, though. Everyone else is very large.

I think poor nutrition negatively impacts growth but I don’t think it affects height in individuals that are well fed.

no joke i’ve dreamed of having a huge beard since i was a kid. couldn’t wait. i grow a super thick goatee but the cheeks are patchy and shitty. devastating. but i wouldn’t trade my hair for it.

I’m 5’10, my wife is 5’4. We are both runts in our family. Current growth extrapolation puts our kid at 6’4 , 215 lbs at 18 years old. She’s almost a foot taller than most of the kids in her grade.

Same dimensions with me and wife… no sons. Daughters are both about 5’.
Im 5’10"-5’11", my wofe os 5’-1".
Our oldest son is 5"10" at 21
Our daughter is 5’2" at 20
And our youngest son is 5’7" at 13.
So thankfully our kids got the proper genetics for their gender. No short sons or tall daughter.
