I also have a pretty nice WWE collection and a bunch of Gladiator Challenge dvds
I remember when I was a kid and we had cable I could only watch Nickelodeon until like 4pm as soon as 4 hit we didn’t get it anymore. But it would be back on the next morning at like 7 or some shit.
i have my vhs tapes
My parent’s tried to block Mtv back in the 80’s, but on those old push button cable boxes my brother’s figured out that if you pushed the 20 button and the 6 at the same time, it would come in.
I bet that thing saw a lot of titties in cone bras.
I have the majority of UFCs and Prides on both VHS and DVDs up until the end of Pride.
Also a bunch of smaller shows mixed in like IFC, Gladiator Challenge, KOTC, Rings, Pancrase, etc.
And I’m about to chuck all of them…sadly.
Everything is online now though.
Well… most of it.
Cable “traps”, it’s what the cable guys used to put in the boxes outside. I worked for a place that made them a long time ago, worked in the part that injected foam into them to protect from the elements after they were built and configured. Similar to this, but on the back side there were 4 holes that we filed with the expanding foam.
I had hundreds of tapes and chucked them, moved recently and found that I had a bunch I hadn’t thrown out, made a post. Threw the rest out.

After they were assembled they would go to the “tuning” department that would set them through the little holes to a certain frequency or something. Was my first full time job right out of high school
My gf said the same thing about my film collection “everything is online”
The Internet in our area was down for a few days
Plus you never really own anything that’s online
I agree.
But at this point they’re just taking up too much room.
I have to prioritize.
Goodwill doesn’t even want the VHSs.
It’s sad … but life goes on.
I am keeping some of the better DVDs for sure.
Work something out with Jimmy.
got a few in my attic
I have all the original super brawls and the felony fights.
Save your tapes and DVDs! They are precious artifacts!
@Jimmy-Coconuts is a saint.
The idea is fair use archive of OG broadcasts. Unless the project incurs usage costs down the line, we’re not interested in money. If you want access, submit something new to the library. Or send @Jimmy-Coconuts a picture of your cock and balls and he may consider making an exception.
Got a few of the DVDs from thrifting but never sought out to buy any. Do they still make physical media of events?
I had every PRIDE event that was released on DVD in the U.S. I think the 2002 Shockwave was the only one I didn’t have.
Got drunk about ten years back and decided to throw a bunch of shit away and tossed close to half of them.
Really wish I didn’t do that.
I’m working on WWF/WCW OG broadcast sets too. Replacing wrestling ring entrances was a tragedy that must be undone. It’s my right as an American.
There are some folks out there putting in crazy hours of work to restore WWE Network footage with all original content. I’m trying to snag them one year at a time.
