yeah for sure. And no one knows the truth at this point but man, a lot of people have jumped ship. If its not true, that would be remarkable. It is a small community and the ATOS family Im sure knows eachother so it sounds like there are probably more people in the know.
If there was a reason alexa did this out of pure spite and it wasnt justified at all, I think that people would have sniffed that out.
My understanding is that it’s not just that one chick who came forward on social media. There might be others. Again, just rumors so take it with a grain of salt
I train with some very attractive women. They really don’t get treated any differently other than drilling with other women most of the time. Open rolling is for everyone and we all work to each others’ levels. One time I was in a woman’s guard in no gi and went for the armpit hold to try and posture up and she moved and I grabbed a handful of titty. I apologized and she didn’t freak out and said honest mistake, then used my hesitance to sweep me. Fair play. If anyone were to try and grope a woman there are much badder dudes that would handle it, having the baddest dude being the one potentially doing it is crazy. The one issue we’ve had in my amlost two years being there was a teen girl that admitted she was there just to socialize and not train, and always wanted to roll with the adult men. My coach pretty much told her mom to take here and never come back, and that she was looking to get people in trouble.
There’s also dudes in no gi that want the same thing.

I predict that Andre will eventually come out and down play his involvement in the matter. He will likely say that he but her ear and was doing so as if he were playing with a kid but never meant it sexually. He will deny ever commenting on her body and he will deny moaning. He will apologize and claim he lacked judgement.
I’ve been in this sport my entire adult life. I’ve never seen an exodus like this. I have trained at Atos a few times, I have friends that have left ATOS in the last week because of this.
What a stupid way to throw away a lifetime of work. I’m thinking there must be a pattern here because of the mass exodus.
My prediction is Andre will move back to Brazil with whatever he’s made here. Open a new academy and regroup.
While I think this whole thing looks really really bad, he’s been fucked before anything has come to light. It would be a mother fucker if this turns out to be just allegations from one girl without anything concrete or corroborating. If that’s the case he probably should’ve went on the offensive, so who knows. Angelica sticking by him and not issuing any statement makes you wonder
Great point. If something like this came out against my instructor I may ride it out because there has been nothing in his behavior over decades to believe he’s capable of things like this.
