Nah, you don’t have to worry about back exposure in folk the same as you do in freestyle. You can wrestle a lot differently.

Gable wants to bang and get after it and isnt scared to take risks.
Bo’s entire M.O has been to fight safe and take as little risks as possible. The one time he got pushed into a firefight, he got demolished. And that just reinforces his tactic and mindset of being conservative and safe.

Gable seems to want to be a “personality”, first and foremost. But I think he’s too skilled and has too much physicality to actually suck.

It makes him boring and less effective. He doesn’t need to turn into Koscheck but he needs to improve is striking and wrestling transitions
Yep, just set up Bo vs Khamzat. That’s the only match EVERYONE actually wants to see, imo.
That may be why it hasn’t been made yet. RAF wants to drag that out.
Same reason we won’t be seeing Hokit vs Steveson anytime soon.

McEnelly was a U20 world champ last year and an NCAA champ this year…
Bo is an ex-wrestler…
only MMA nerds thought Bo was going to win…
If anything Bo did much better than expected score wise… he did nothing and looked exactly like he doesn’t wrestle anymore…
McEnelly probably gave him too much respect as evidenced by not fully committing to several good shots because I’m sure he still remembers Bo’s insane scrambling when he was on top of his game…

I can answer that at least. Bo thinks he’s much better at everything than he actually is. It will be his undoing in his MMA career. And @TimDuncan is correct. He needs to make as much as he can ASAP. He will be dominated by anyone in top tier of the division. And he’s not getting better bc of my first statement. He believes he’s already one of the best and doesn’t want to improve in areas.

Actually it’s not. His wrestling was his top skill. He is way behind on striking from any of the top guys and is not improving that is seems while also becoming a worse grappler.
Gable definitely has a shot because the HW division is shit. Bo on the other hand is in a deep division.
