I remember him saying he tore his ACL or something one time when he jumped up to announce a name.
I think he has only missed like 1 scheduled show for almost 30 years, yeah it’s only one day of the week, but that’s a long time to never really miss a show due to sickness/emergency/vacation.
We’re giving him shit here but it’s obvious he takes his job very seriously so whether he’s an egomaniac or people like him or not, he puts a lot of passion and energy into what he does and I think that’s what makes him unique and appropriate for the UFC product.
I think he’s a bit much too but he fits the UFC perfectly and has made some really big fights even bigger with his voice alone. It’s an important job to have and to keep his voice in that sort of condition over the years is probably difficult. He has gotten me pumped up for some of the best fights I’ve ever seen. Hearing his voice I know something exciting is about to happen. Plus I have an appreciation for people that put everything into what they do and make it a craft, that’s not as common nowadays.

Everything about UFC ppvs besides the fights is exhausting.
Four goddamn hours of the same four commercials and the same two promos.
And actually, some of the fights are exhausting as well. 3rds of women playing patty cake is mind-numbing.

Buffer is a tool but there is a familiarity that is comforting about him. Same with Joe Rogan and DC to a lesser degree.
I really love the UFC and I look forward to the fights. Buffer is a dork but he is our dork. He was also an OGer for a while

I’ve always liked Bruce, but Joe Martinez and I are acquaintences and prefer him. He’s a cool guy……and a Chevelle fan 
I get him stretching and staying loose but he does it like the fighters do, it’s just weird. You ain’t fighting my dude you make weird faces and scream into a mic.
