Clay Guida has issued a statement on his UFC 310 loss to Chase Hooper, and he isnāt going anywhere.
Guida took on Hooper during the early UFC 310 prelims. āThe Carpenterā was submitted in the first round via armbar. This is the first time in Guidaās pro MMA career where heās dropped three fights in a row. During the UFC 310 post-fight press conference, Dana White admitted heād like to see Guida retire.
Clay Guida Vows to Keep Fighting Following UFC 310
Taking to his Instagram page, Clay Guida heaped praise on Chase Hooper and thanked his supporters. He also showed no indication that heās ready to hang up his gloves just yet.

Guida hasnāt scored a win since late 2022. In his current three-fight skid, Guida has dropped bouts against Rafa Garcia, Joaquim Silva, and now Hooper. If Guida does indeed decide to keep fighting, one has to wonder if the UFC will give him another bout or if āThe Carpenterā will be competing for another promotion.
BKFC ? Nahhhhhhh
Id like to see guida on the slap fighting circuit
Jason vs Clay , GO !
Heās fun to watch!!! Frustrating to watch!!! Too old to develop new skills or improve though!!! But can win the occasional fight for sure!!!
I thought he retired in 2014
I got tired of Clay the moment he forced his first burp.
I would watch
Dean of Mean vs Jake Shields will Blow Mind
Rubbed me the wrong way when he stole the spotlight from someone a few events ago.
Iād legit like to see Jason Guida vs Big Timmeh in slapfight
Ive been a fan of Clay since his first fights in local events around here.
He needs to hang it up
Clay should get a job as the sparring gatekeeper for the UFC. If you can deal with his style youāre at a top tier professional level.
He was always the perfect opponent for a rising star.
Heās put on so many enjoyable fights without a single mark against him (drugs, roids, crime) that he deserves to be in the HoF. Plus heās got an unbeatable record of most losses in UFC history with 19, lol
Iāll always root for Clay. Let him stick around as long as he wants. Just let him be a gatekeeper.
