By now, it’s pretty clear that Michael Chandler will not be fighting Conor McGregor at the UFC White House event in June.
It sounds like Chandler (23-10) finally accepted that reality and has now set his sights on the winner of Max Holloway vs. Charles Oliveira 2, who collide for the Hawaiian’s “BMF” belt atop the UFC 326 fight card next month in Las Vegas.
“I got my eye on that one, because I think Max gets the win,” Chandler recently told MMA Junkie. “I think Oliveira is coming off a pretty devastating knockout and turned around real quick, jumped into another training camp. I got my eyes set on that BMF belt if Max wins, so we’ll see.”
