I knew he had a black belt, but I didn’t know it was third degree - thanks.
Weird. I was just thinking about him literally the day before this happened. They say he was one of the few who was already cross training with the Gracie’s before UFC 1. He was the only martial artist in Hollywood to do so, that I know of. I think he deserves a lot of respect for that alone.
R.I.P.
I’m hearing he chose to go to hell to beat up all the demons.
Weirdly, I watched part of a documentary on Bruce Lee last night in which he featured quite prominently. I doubt I’d seen him in anything for years before then (but I’m also aware it’s probably confirmation bias).
Is there a doc or biography on him? There should be.
Apparently there is.
Chuck Norris is a renowned martial arts champion, actor, and cultural icon whose life is detailed in biographical documentaries focusing on his transition from a shy, impoverished childhood to a karate world champion and Hollywood star. Key documentaries and biographical media include “Private Lesson” (1993), “Path to Stardom” (2023), and recent 2025 career retrospectives covering his roles in Walker, Texas Ranger
He was still training and in shape. So that sucks. And yes, a grim reminder for us all.
Super healthy people seem to die at fairly normal ages, but they live fully till death, which is quite better that the norm. And they often have a “better death” too.
He seems to fit all these criteria. He lived fully till super recently, quick death. Not 10-20 years of misery.
Rest in peace. A true icon. He represented martial arts well.
The Devil is glad that Chuck lived a good life, so he doesn’t have to face him.
My best memory of Chuck Norris is visiting my wife’s grandmother in Wilkes-Barre. A very serene and gentle woman who walked to church every day and never had a bad word to say about anyone. But she loved watching Chuck Norris in Walker Texas Ranger, cheering him on and laughing everytime he roundhouse-kicked a drug dealer in the face while we sat in her living room and watched TV together. It was her favorite show.
RIP, Chuck.
I haven’t watched a lot of his movies and I am going to watch some of them in the near future. Firewalker was one of my favorite action movies when I was a kid though. Chuck roundhousing the shit out of the Indian guy who was part God was awesome.
You think you’re invincible, and you lay waste to everyone that gets in your path, and then you find yourself on the wrong end of a few Chuck Norris roundhouses. It changes things.
crazy. chuck lived a good christian lifestyle, no vices, was focussed on health his whole life…
and my dad who smoked cigarettes for 60 years lived as long as him
Big G best step down, if he knows whats good for him.
he would beat up bruce lee in a real fight
St. Peter make it happen!
The thing about Chuck was he was believable as an action star.
His movies were more realistic and not over the top with the action.
Late 70s, early 80s Chuck ruled.
RIP. Damn..
Hulk Hogan gonna be unveiling his mystery partner in the big tag-team match against Sinwar and Khamenei this Sunday, brother.
RIP
