I listened to the full interview posted

It actually got me really excited.

Scott says they are gonna do a weight class tournament per year. Lots of behind the scenes filming, getting to know the fighters and what not.

Says they do want to cross promote at some point in the future. They are planning 12 events for 2027, with the first one being in January.

He goes on to talk about how MMA has stagnated and feels flat, and how he wants to come in and bring some excitement into the space.

Honestly after listening I can’t wait to see what these guys bring to the table, I’m a huge Scott Coker fan, and I have a lot of respect for him. He’s a fighter and fan first promoter and while it has been to his detriment at times, all he cares about is putting on a good show.

you need way more than 60 million if you’re going to compete. this will be pfl level

Are we able to overlook the Rich C involvement ?

He said he’s not competing. Just wants to put on some good shows for the fans. Even if it’s PFL level who cares.

No

Yes and why I am no longer considering a VP spot

Why Now Brown Chou ?

“You’ll see an event in Asia, you’ll see an event in Europe, you’ll see an event in San Jose,” Coker said. “And you’ll see an event in one territory that we’re gonna announce soon. And all those will happen in the first quarter [of 2027].”

According to Coker, we’re just over a month away from the promotion’s big reveal.

“On September 14 we’re gonna we’re gonna have a launch event,” he said. So keep your ears open and we’ll have more information for you.”

There’s two big questions we have for this unnamed league: who will be the broadcast partner, and where will Coker find the talent to fill his roster? The broadcast deal remains a question mark but Coker is hard at work traveling the world scouting out the next generation of stars.

If he dumps Chou I will consider a VP spot

I WILL NOMINATE AND VOTE For Dr Pepper

I’m not sure if tournaments will break that stagnation though - I will definitely be watching but will the average Joe care about a tournament stacked with a few b but mostly c level fighters?
