Let me answer that for you as I’ve spent countless rounds sparring with some of the best boxers in the world, they-hit-fucking-hard. When I was have a move-around session with Bobby Czyz when I was a welterweight & he was a light heavyweight he misjudged how heavy his shots were & caught me with a right hand that knocked me out on my feet for a few seconds. The only thing that held me up was the ropes. And I swear, during those few seconds of unconsciousness I was convinced that a section of the gym ceiling had fallen on my head.
Then there was Matt Hilton who caved in my ribs which put me out of commission for 6 weeks.
Throw in the hundreds of shots I took from men like Aaron Pryor, Julio Cesar Chavez, Simon Brown ( who broke my nose twice ), Ray Leonard & many others, I can attest that their punches would quickly end the vast majority here aside from those who are pro fighters themselves.
I beg to differ as the OP seems to think that the couple of inches & 20 lb advantages he has over Mayweather would enable him to beat him. Which is ludicrous, of course.
I don’t even take the OP’s assertion seriously though. He must be having a laugh
Lol.
Suppose I could give it a go taking him down and fucking him up on the ground, but I really wouldnt be confident in it tbh. Hes a (former) elite athlete at the end of the day. My gas tank is terrible nowadays too so if it lasts more than a few minutes i’m gonna be a human punching bag.
Finally, some honesty in this thread. I’m proud of you guys.
Getting into the ring with an elite-level boxer even just for sparring is an otherworldly experience. I was almost always in peak condition when I got my sparring gigs & I was a tough, experienced pro but when things got real it was like I was operating in quicksand. The things that allowed me to keep getting gigs with the best though is I never stopped putting the pressure on & letting my hands go & I could take a hell of a beating.
