You have to keep the day prior weighins for all the promo needs, but you put a hard cap on the same day weighin with super harsh $$$ penalties (but not bout cancellations), and voilĂ .

That’s a good point I haven’t heard before - same day weighins but the penalty isnt the fight being cancelled - which appeals to nobody. If it just meant the overweight fighter received a heavy financial penalty - greater than currently for ‘missing weight’ - it could work.

some fightrrs would cynically miss weight, hand over the dollars, bulldoze the poor cunt lightweight in front of them - and their weight miss is not much more than a footnote on Wikipedia as they climb the rankings.
