I wrestled in HS and come from a wrestling family.

Same day weigh ins would make a difference in the amount of time fighters have to re-hydrate.
MMA does not have same day weigh ins.
I don’t see how the difference would even be debatable, though maybe we aren’t talking about the same thing.
