During UFC Edmonton media day (watch here), “The Black Beast” was asked if there was a fight out there that he wanted to cross off his list. The holder of most knockouts in UFC history chose a rematch with retired former Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.

When asked to elaborate, Lewis kept it pretty vague.
“He knows why. DC knows why,” Lewis said. Everyone knows why- he disrespected Popeyes chicken, but other than that, he’s a piece of s—t."
Lewis and Cormier have sent shots towards each other in the past. While Cormier’s comments were more from a broadcaster’s point of view, like when he said he was done as a top Heavyweight and Lewis should retire after his loss to Sergey Spivak. Lewis, on the other hand, has always just talked trash when replying to Cormier.
“Probably DC because that one is still not sitting right with me,” Lewis told MMA Junkie and other reporters at Wednesday’s UFC Fight Night 246 media day. “I don’t know, man. Do people really like DC like that? Come on, man, that guy, I told DC in his face, that guy is a piece of sht. He’s a piece of sht scumbag, Fck DC. He knows why, and everyone knows why, too: He disrespected Popeyes chicken. But other than that, he’s a piece of sht.”
DC could jump off his announcer seat and take Lewis down with one arm and beat the shit out of him.
So he’s a piece of shit because he disrespected Popeyes? I think he’s just hoping to get DC out of retirement for a money fight.
I think the Popeye’s chicken thing is the cherry on top to DC being a piece of shit. I think there’s more to it in Derrick’s mind. That’s how I read it, at least.
For one, DC missed weight against Rumble, cheated the scale, won, then joked about it in public later. That’s enough to confirm he’s a POS.
Then Derrick should be man enough to say that instead of pussy footing around about it.
I think calling DC a POS in an interview is manly enough.

“Oh you know, he uhm, disrespected Popeye’s Fried Chicken, and uhm, you know some other stuff. I ain’t gonna say.”
I get it. I just hate DC, so I allow it.
Ariel asked DC about it. DC said he doesn’t have any idea what Derrick is talking about and maybe he is mad about some of his color commentary. He also said when he sees Derrick he’ll walk up to him and ask.
I mean DC commentary is fucking awful.
