I drive by UFC Institute HQ place every day which is about the most I think about it anymore.
Once in a while there’s a fight I want to see, so I just find the event the next morning after avoiding spoilers, and scrub through it to watch. I’ll usually watch the other fights on the card too but not always.
Definitely faded shades of 15+ years ago when I’d watch with my gym bros live.

Oh yea I can’t remember which event it was but I hosted about 30 people once involuntarily when I let slip I knew how to hack direct TV. My main gym friends just showed up with a bunch of their friends.

I’ve been rewatching Pride events the last couple weeks and they had a lot of cans and nobodies too.
WMMA & all the ovs’ have ruined the UFC. Most foreigners fight boring, they all look and sound the same… There’s not much to keep the interest of American fight fans.

I was there at UFC 1 (not in person). Stilll ove it. Oh, I sure could do with a LOT LESS WMMA. And yes too many cards. And the coming PPV is the weakest ever. But UFC 300 was the best ever so they can still make it happen.

I hate that it doesnt have competitors like Pride was back in the day. Having to fight for viewers made it a better product.

Gonna be honest…ufc is just so uninteresting to me right now…I don’t know if it’s a lack of personality fighters or what…but Ive been having a really hard time getting excited for fights. This is coming from a guy that used to watch the early prelims to main card, every card…ppv, fight night…anything.
Now it’s like…I’ll check the highlights on reddit IF I even remember It was on the night before.
I legit don’t remember the last time I was truly excited to watch a fight happening.
I’ve also found F1 racing to be much more entertaining

I used to live and breathe UFC (& all combat sports).
I went years without missing an event, could tell you everything about the fighters, and was excited for every fight on the card.
They lost me when they went to the ESPN app and watered down the cards.

The fighters rrreeeeaaaalllyy need to watch for when a fighter isnt down to blast kicks and knees.
I find myself seeing sooooo many openings for them now.

I don’t hate the current UFC. It’s a completely different animal than what it was. And I’ve appreciated every era of the UFC. Early days, dark era, golden years on spike tv, TUF noobs, ESPN, and now the Arabs etc.
I have the same issues as most of you guys. Rabid fandom weaning over the many years and thousands of fights… That’s just how it goes with almost everything in life.
