Buffer first ventured into martial arts when he was thirteen years old and living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, studying judo and achieving the rank of green belt. He moved to Malibu, California with his family at the age of fifteen and befriended two of the students of Chuck Norris, who introduced him to Tang Soo Do, in which he holds a second degree black belt. I read that while he was competing he came up with Buffer enterprises, and wanted to make his brother famous for his announcing, and turn the whole thing into a business. It was only after he retired from injuries that he started doing his own announcing thing, it wasn’t originally the plan.

Did anyone ever see the poker show that had Hendo, Couture, and Buffer playing 3 professional poker geeks? He was trying to be all buddy buddy with Hendo and Couture but you could tell they didn’t like him. He kept calling Hendo “Danny” like they were childhood friends. Even the poker pro’s thought he was a huge tool.
