Do you let your vehicle warm up before driving?

Yeah I let it idle for a good hour to warm up all of the - what I can only assume are - plastic engine components.

I just take a torch and warm it manually before starting.

Thought that’s how everyone did it…

I try to give it at least 20 seconds to let the oil circulate and try to give at least a minute in winter and try not to rev high for the first few minutes

My grandpa used to take an old metal coffee can, put a small candle inside of it, and light it under his engine block in the winter back in the day.

Being late to work because of engine issues was not on the docket for grandpa.

this. it’s about rpm’s so for most people just pulling out of their driveway/parking spot is mild enough that it won’t make a difference.

for most of my daily commutes to/from work my engine’s never over maybe 3500rpm
