Whether he gets up or not I think depends on if he felt he’s “too old” to learn something new and just trained like he always did or worked on what DDP didn’t work enough on before his fight: escapes. If he does better than DDP with the escapes, it’ll be an interesting fight, and that’s not difficult to do because DDP just laid there. If not, it’ll be “just another Khamzat fight”.
man i thought what he did against dricus was historic. i’ve never seen a shutout quite like it. i think total domination even without a finish is perfect for his legacy.

Cant agree about Barao, he was on a 7 fight win streak against solid competition before that fight. Beat Faber twice. Wineland, Pickett, Jorgensen all solid fighters back then.
Not a world beating streak I grant you, but I don’t know anyone who thought Dillashaw had anything to offer for him the night of the fight.

Khamzat had long CoVid at that time. Guy almost died. Now training with Sam Calavita in the garage, he actually does look like a machine. Whittaker says Khamzat will “run through him” and he no doubt knows more than we do.

Khumshot was so gassed in round 2 vs Usman he didn’t even try a takedown until the last 30 seconds
Strickland is damn good IMO but the fact you keep calling him Kumshot makes me think you are extremely biased and we should take your analysis with a grain of salt.
Usman has a much higher wrestling pedigree than Strickland and Khamzat says he feels better at 185 not being drained.

I’m not a Khamzat fan by any stretch but Strickland is pillow fisted and there is no way Strickland stops the takedown, Khamzat eats people on the ground.
Khamzat is going to put a bad beating on him 9/10 times. Strickland’s 10% being bare minimum fluke status style win.

Vineland, Pickett and Jorgensen were b and c level and past their peaks from the WEC days. He did beat Faber but I think one of those fights was a robbery, maybe it was one of the Cruz fights. Either way, he wasn’t the 30 and 0 killing machine he was made out to be
