Yeah I never understood the appeal of his show - I think folks ultimately just want to hear about other peoples very dysfunctional lives as it makes them feel better about their own

Oprah started out doing Springer-like trash. If you could say one good thing about Oprah it’s that when she had the power to move her show away from that trash she did it, despite that the trailer park bullshit was easy ratings.
