I was just talking about the slamming on his head. Karelian is obviously the superior Olympic grappler to both.
But traditional wrestling has been shown REPEATEDLY to get neutralized by superior strikers with even a basic level of takedown defense. A world champ Sambo fighter / arguable GOAT MMA heavyweight would have no real problem with telegraphed shots from distance.
In a real fight, Karelian wouldn’t be able to close the distance against Fedor since he would be getting pieced up from distance on the feet.
Come on you guys, it’s almost like we’ve seen 3 decades of how this plays out. He with the most tools, and the ability to dictate where the fight takes place wins the overwhelming majority of the time.
