Gable Steveson Wants To Sign UFC Contract

This person not very well known is trying to get headlines with all these spicy activities.

He needs the UFC more than the UFC needs him.

Someone advised him not to show up and lose to that Jiu-Jitsu weirdo.

If Jones is involved with this guy, this has international incident written all over it.

The division is so dead in terms of viable challengers after the Gane/Aspinall rematch that I would fully support them going full Brock Lesnar with him. Sign the guy, give him someone high profile but vulnerable like Derrick Lewis right away, if he loses he can go again just like Brock did, if he wins give him a title shot already. Whats the alternative really? Waldo vs the Tom/Gane winner? riveting.

How well do you see him doing in mma?

I think he’ll clean house.

Why? Does he have an unstoppable takedown? Do you think he compares to DC?

True, but should they have to? The fighters assume 100% of the risk to their health, life and reputation. The UFC in 2026 is insanely profitable. The show cannot operate without fighters but fighters can fight without the UFC. If the organization somehow folded tomorrow, someone would fill the void. The UFC is feeling a loss of interest by the casual fan base. The only thing that can reignite the excitement with the general public is quality fighters, with colorful personalities, putting on big fights. I’m going to watch every week no matter what. But I’m unlike the average sports fan. I don’t care about other sports like basketball, baseball and football.

Agree with Curtis, Gable is shorter and seems to like to stand and strike so if he chooses to do that too often, he will get caught and dropped. How is his chin? Hopefully good enough to take a punch

I think training with Jon Jones is probably the best camp decision that you can make for your career. Especially just starting out in MMA
