HVWT Tournament - who wins?

I love Fedor but he most likely loses in rd 1 against this lineup

I think cain at his peak was the most devastating fighter ever.

I’d pick cain to win it all.

Roidreem destroys them all. Cleanreem not so much

Prime vs Prime & Clean vs Clean… I think Cain wins it all

The concensus is that Jones avoided heavyweight so he wouldn’t have to fight Overeem.

Here come the fan girls :joy::joy:

Fedor was a beast in his day but then the competition evolved - he is not going to beat Ngannou, Ubereem, Jones, Cain or DC .. I’d give him the edge over Gable becausr he’s still very green .. Aspinal? Very hard fight to call ..

Yep. Ngannou is still underrated by many yet he’s toasted many top fighters .. it’s tragic he didn’t stay in the ufc to fight Jones and Aspinal

They weren’t doing anything he couldn’t handle, and his approach still hasn’t been duplicated.

Peak Fedor in a ring is the GOAT.

LMAO.

Yeah heavyweight evolved.

Man Laughing Hysterically

Yes and knowing that still am picking Jones. He just wins.

This I agree on. His technique was dogshit and I think he’s gotten worse since focusing on learning to box. He’s much more technical now.

But the Nganou who beat Stipe in the rematch is the most dangerous fighter ever. Capable of flatlining anyone in seconds with sloppy wild punches that look retarded but knock people dead. That’s heavyweight for you.

But he’s unproven at HW.

I’m not picking a guy who has never beat a great HW at his peak to win a tournament full of some of the greatest peak HWs.

Jones having something to prove is a reason he is my pick.

I don’t think he’s that kind of fighter mentally.

I think he’s more of a front runner, and is legacy driven, which makes him somewhat risk-averse.

I don’t see him having much at all for peak Ubereem.

Jones decimated Gane like no one else has - did you forget that one?

Jones is a screwed up guy but he’s an amazing fighter and some have forgotten that

It’s a shame we didn’t get Ngannou vs prime Cain or Werdum .. Ngannou/Cornier would have been very interesting

I didn’t forget.

Gane is not an all-time HW and barely even showed up.

If that fight is reason to believe Jones beats the best HWs ever, at HW – it’s a pretty weak reason.

Jones is the champion of the weakest HW division in recent memory with a win over Gane and Stipe coming off a loss and an almost 4 year layoff.

That’s his HW resume.

Not only are those two the only fights in his heavyweight resume, but he literally handpicked those two opponents ie. He refused to fight anyone else but those two guys.

Jones could have moved up long before he did.
He waited until the division was as thinned-out as possible before he made his move.

He’s not challenge driven he’s legacy driven.

No way in hell I’m picking him to beat the best HWs ever – not without seeing it.

And I’m not saying he wouldn’t beat some of them. I’m just not willing to give him that credit in absence of him actually making a run at it when HW was still pretty stacked.
