This doesn’t surprise me from boxing or combat sports.

You have a dude his promoter is trying to build up a 20-0 record vs a guy that looks like he’s never even had a sparring session. It happens in all combat sports but is especially egregious in boxing. Been going on for 75 years at least.

This one is way too bad though. Lmao at this shit.

Look at Gerry Cooney, he should have faced better boxers to prepare him when the going got tough. He brought a 25-0 record to face Larry Holmes and he got cruelly exposed. His diet of of mediocre opponents and good boxers past their prime did not help him at all when he faced a great boxer like Holmes.

And Cooney isnt an anomaly. Promoters do thus all time. Hoping such a boxer goes up against an aging champion who, on paper, looks like he’s still great but ready to go.

Recent examplez are Tyszu and Golovkin. Even the great Canelo Alvarez is headed that way and a shady promoter is planning or that scenario, which is part of the game unfortunately.

An that big knock out he was badly weight drained an they had a limit on how much he could rehydrate..he said he was a dead man walking all day
