Longest winstreak in UFC history and title defenes in the most competitive division laughable? A title defense against a well rounded 6 foot 3 fighter in the higher division who is undefeated save for a decision against Shavkat is better than any win GSP or Jones had. Islam has a strong argument after that despite your nostalgia for older non Russian fighters.
So are you saying Jon or GSP defended against an actual larger, younger well rounded fighter when they moved up?

It’s a different conversation than Pride GOAT.
That said Garry is not only much larger, but also very skilled and well rounded.
The differences in rules and regulations made it a different sport to me, I don’t compare different eras that far appart.

Yes you need that decade of dominance (I mean against top 5 comp not just wins). Fedor had it, gsp had it, bones had it, islam hasn’t even hit 4 years yet of top 5 domination. He might get there but he’s still behind even mighty mouse imo.

This is why he’s able to move up a division and defend a title there and will have the highest winstreak ever if he wins.

Who is the best is all theoretical until they lose. So many dudes looked unstoppable until they got beat. That’s why the multi year dominance is so important and he just needs time just like khabib did but he ran away like a little girl.
