Gsp is much smaller than you realize. Size absolutely matters. Gsp is about 5’9 walks around probably 175lbs. He’d be at a major disadvantage

The internet was telling me Islam was too afraid to move up and was a weight bully now he’s the only fighter in the UFC to move up and win a title then attempt to defend it against a legitimate (6 foot 3) title contender

About as pretty as a flash KO gets. The foot work to half step back and counter that fast was awesome. Islam was never aggressive again. Lol.
I may not like it but I have to respect the business decision to take the fight that was not only easier but paid more and put his name in the history books. Double champ. Seems to be the standard to earn the “legend” title these days. Cant really hate on that.
And as much as I dont like Garry, this is not going to be an easy fight for either person. Ian has such a frustrating style and wirey frame to grapple with. And his striking and distance management is second to none at welterweight. Ask Prates. He even had him as close to gone as it gets and still couldnt get it done.
Just for the record…
Islam is a hell of a fighter AND Ian Garry is a tough fight.
He is just 8 title defenses away from us talking about being the goat.
And credit to Islam, he is the best Lightweight of all time, (BJ is second and Khabib is 3rd. )
