I'm MAGA -- but

The government takes your taxes no matter what.
It already goes to things you probably don’t like.

If you don’t like helping hard working Americans over transgender studies in Bolivia – then you have a problem.

If loan forgiveness legislation is ever passed that tax payers cover part of it – then yes you will pay for it – and the more it bothers people like you, the more it will make me happy.

That being said, I don’t think it’s happening in the foreseeable future.
In our lifetimes though?
Maybe.

That doesn’t mean more of the same should occur.

In fact, it means the opposite.

Brother you’ve got spjackson voting you up lol.

That should be cause for reevaluation.

Still love ya.

I don’t think anyone is arguing taxes should go up. They already have the money. Spend it on that instead of other shit.

I don’t think anyone is advocating for like a $10 increase on everyone’s taxes. Just saying “take that money you already stole from me and use it to help Americans instead of Zelensky.”

Give it back to those who earned it in the first place.

This is wealth redistribution nonsense.

Take from me and give to them? No thank you. Give me mine back.

Well that would be ideal, but you and I both know that’s not on the table lol.

I could see forgiving heavy interest on loans that are many years old. Maybe let them just pay off the principal plus some small fees?

I don’t see it that way. I see it as a potential lesson for the government not to meddle in private business.

Like Obamacare. The worst possible outcome always comes from these fucked up rigged systems of capitalism overlaid with communist regulations and incentives.

I would argue more should go to home team and less to other countries.

You aren’t being realistic though.

You should listen to that Steely Dan song I posted.

It was a response to Paul McCarthy crying for world peace.

Not realistic.

Forgiveness shouldn’t be either.

Sue the schools if you were lied to.

Expecting the taxpayer to refund poor decisions is unrealistic.

Collective over the individual?

Sounds familiar.

The government has no money. It’s all ours.

So you’d be penalizing the taxpayer to spite the government. Cutting off your nose to spite someone else’s face.

Makes no sense.

How is it penalizing them if the taxes don’t change?

It’s still our money…

What about this is perplexing??

You’d be using my money to pay someone else’s debt.

There is no situation in which this is acceptable.

Today is the day we celebrate murdering Brits en masse over 2% of our average income being taxed.

And now here we are talking about using tax money to pay the debts of others.

Sad shit indeed.

That’s not the choice we’re presented with though.

They already have our money. They are going to spend it. It’s a matter of if they spend it on Zelensky’s debt or our citizens.

No. It isn’t.

There are a million other things that could be done with the money, INCLUDING refunding it to the taxpayer, which HAS been floated as an idea mind you.

It is NOT either or.

Christ, we could use the money to fund ICE. We could use it to secure our borders. We could use it to do a plethora of things outside the two choices you falsely presented as the only options.

I will be pleasantly surprised if that happens. But it seems extraordinarily unlikely.

Seems more likely they’ll continue to steal more of my paycheck and spend it on shit I want them to spend it on much much less than student loans.
