Is Jon “Bones” Jones the baddest man on the planet?

He personally doesn’t like Tom and he wants fuck you money to take the risk of losing his undefeated record. He doesn’t want Tom making a name off him

I think Poatan vs Jones would be bigger.
Aspinall does not have the fan base. Pereira is one of, if not the biggest name in the sport right now.

Dont get me wrong, Aspinall is still a huge fight, and more importanly, a much more RELEVANT fight, but I think Pereira is the bigger, more profitable option for Jones.
It makes sense that Jon wants that fight. It’s easier, more money and he has a chance to knock off a 2 division champion.

Eye gouge, knee kick, front dick to the dick, take down, elbows and soccer kicks and stomps. Tom is dead in the Dairy Queen parking lot

How can he be the baddest man on the planet when he is so scared of Tom he runs away as soon as he even hears a british reporter and is so rattled he’s banning Tom from press events? :face_with_hand_over_mouth: :joy:

I think Poatan is the harder sell though, because everyone can predict the outcome of that one.

When you stick around as long as Jones has you become a victim of your own success. You can either keep fighting and let a young lion take your crown or retire as the king. Everyone wants to see Tom vs Jones. Even more now after his win against Stipe because a lot of people now think there’s a good chance Jones beats Aspinall. We can make up whatever arguments that Gane was an easy match up and Stipe was old but Jones made such easy work of both of them that it looks like he’s a damn good heavyweight, maybe even the best.

It Jones would have gotten to fight Francis his first fight and won. He could have retired right then. Aspinall wasn’t even in the discussion. Now he is and Jones is even older.

Hard to say right now. We’ve got a boxing style clusterfuck where 3 different fighters have a legitimate claim to being no1 but probably wont ever fight each other.

This just in from our correspondents from Korea/Vietnam/Afghanistan:

“Jones won’t fight Tom? To be expected… he’s from a nation of fighters who pull out if they don’t see an advantage…”

Jon is a victim of wanting to stick around and collect easy pay days and faking himself as the champ HW holding up the division rather than earning it against the best. It’s all on him.

Pfffft please. Trump took the belt from him in like 9 seconds

As an Aspinall fan… yep Jones is definitely the top of all humans.

Its a shame he showed signs of age and fatigue in the Stipe fight, honestly think Aspinall has a chance to beat him, but only because hes catching a guy whos not getting any younger and its too active in the sport anymore.

Hard to say until Jones fights Aspinall and Ngannou.

I’m also not convinced that he beats Anthony Joshua in a street fight if AJ can catch him clean bare fisted.

He had three years to fight Francis and didn’t bother moving up in weight until he was gone. Francis is the lineal champ and Jones had ducked every opportunity to be the man.

Smart

Did Jones show signs of age and fatigue in that fight?

I think Jon probably is but he has avoided all the chances to truly remove the doubt

Fighting 42 year old Stipe didn’t prove anything that we didn’t already know or expect and the betting odds showed this

Fighting Francis when he was Champ for years, fighting Cain before that when he was Champ for years, and now fighting the Interim HW Champ Aspinall would be the fights that would have removed all that doubt

But anyone that knows Jon knows he likes to stack the deck against his opponents. That is why nobody is surprised he wants to go for an Alex Pereira fight instead of an Aspinall fight. One the odds have him as a -600 favorite and the other actually has him as an underdog. Ya think Jon puts himself in that situation? Knowing his track record I don’t think he will. And it makes a joke of the Interim belt because the Champ can just duck the fight and cherry pick “legacy” opponents instead of the actual deserving opponents

All that said he probably is I just have wanted him to prove it against the types of fights I mentioned above for a decade now which he has conveniently avoided

I’m glad everything I’ve been saying about Jones for the last few years is finally becoming mainstream.

That three years off was either ducking everyone or a suspension cause he did not use that time to pack on the muscle, he’s just fat now. He could still fight at 205 if he put the donuts down.

He was about as tired as I would expect a pro would be after hitting a punching bag for a few rounds. At no point in that fight did Stipe take it to him.

a dude that has no issue beating his wife in front of their kids, will most surely have bad intentions in a cage…that is his advantage. Dude is meticulous about inflicting harm. Tom’s a nice dude, but Jon is just a vicious dude at heart and thats what puts him over the top

This.
Jon has zero issues hurting his opponents and never shows even the slightest bit of mercy. Heaven help anyone fighting him in a street fight.
