No one in all honesty thinks Stipe is the goat heavyweight.he might have a technical claim to it but no one really thinks he was.

Most accomplished UFC specific HW for sure. GOAT he is in the discussion however not above a few others.
Jones fought a Stipe that wasnât even remotely close to being in his prime or physically fit enough to fight. Stipe would have lost to Chase Sherman that night (no disrespect to Chase).
Gane was Jonesâ size but he canât wrestle for shit. We saw how slow Jones was early on and if he was unable to take Gane down, things would have been very difficult for him.
Want to add I think Gane was definitely bigger than Jones.
Jones has some great chokes with those long skinny arms. He uses his radial bone like a baton on peoples trachea
