I kind of just said this in another thread but I always give combatants a bit of grace after a victory or defeat. They didn’t show the full clip here in the tweet but he may have checked on his opponent. Or showed some kind of concern.
I was at a seminar years ago with Eddie Bravo and he wouldn’t even take pics pretending to do a choke much less actually doing one. He implied he faced civil repercussions before.

I remember after Belzer filed the lawsuit, Mr T was asked on a talk show about it and he said something to the effect of “He’s the wrestling WORLD CHAMPION! You don’t go up to Wayne Gretzky and say hit me wit a hockey PUCK!”

It ends quickly if Hokit starts to fail to get the takedowns
At the press conference he should literally say he’s taking Gane into deep waters bc he knows he can’t swim.

I feel Hokit has grit and Gane does not. That doesn’t mean that Gane can’t merc Hokit fast. I just feel that the longer and more grueling the fight is the more it favors Hokit

I think he has the ability to win, with Gane he can hurt you fast though. Hokit can be beating his ass and Gane can counter and put the hurt on really quickly.
I think Hokit knows the path to victory, it will be interesting to see who can impose their will. Gane does seem to struggle when people put him on his back foot and don’t allow him to get comfortable

I think Hokit is going to be surprised by Gane’s speed. Gane has fought guys trying to take him down before, but Hokit has never fought a style like Gane. And you can’t train for him. To a lesser degree but it’s like trying to prepare for Wonderboy. Gane is insanely fast, probably the fastest guy at heavyweight, and he’s massive. This is a very tough matchup for Hokit.

I don’t think Gane is used to a guy chaining takedowns like Cain used to. I don’t think Hokit is as good as Cain but if he chains takedowns together ai think Gane will be on his back. I don’t think Hokit is a dumb fighter.
I may be wrong however.
Also like I said earlier Hokit can fight a good fight and still lose

If he has half a brain he will be focusing on wrestling. The blue print to beat Gane has already been written, you just need to prepare for this fight.

I like Hokit and I want him to do well, but I think a lot of people in this thread are assuming things about Hokit that we haven’t really seen yet.
Gane is tested and proven. If Hokit gets him down, Gane will have a long night. Either way I hope for a good fight.
