I’m coming off going 1-1 at a amateur tournament.

I agree, then when I show up, it turned out, I’m scheduled to fight Chris Brennan.

We had to renegotiate quickly.

That match is really worth watching. It was GSP’s UFC debut and Karo was Rogan’s current golden boy. Even when Karo was getting hammered, Rogan would say things like “Karo is really dangerous from this position”.

I worked for several promotions in the midwest and for Shooto out of Japan. During this time I was helping out promoter Randy Greenman(rip) ou of St Louis. He put one hell of a card together to include Karo’s teammate Manny Gamburyan. Now Randy had rented a limo to shuttle fighters to the afterparty and airport. Manny had a cut that he went to the hospital to get stitched up and had to catch a redeye so he was in a hurry and pissed. So limo guy says "on the way to the airport I have to stop by this bar a pick up one of the fighters. Now he’s really pissed because a good chance he’s going to miss his flight. They get to the bar the limo guy goes in and after about 20 minutes he comes out without the fighter. So Manny is going in to get her BUT he’s still in his fight gear and they won’t let him in so he goes to the limo and tells the driver “give me your clothes”. Limo guy said no so Manny replies “it wasn’t a request” and takes the guys clothes off of him.

Couple points, Manny is 5’ 4" and limo guy is 6’2" so the clothes were hysterical on him. Limo guy is left outside in his draws AND locked out of the limo because his keys are in his pants pockets than Manny is wearing. He goes in and gets the fighter who is hammer drunk and pukes in the limo more than once. Manny makes his flight, limo guy gets his clothes, drunk fighter isn’t allowed on her flight and Randy gets a big bill for cleaning puke.

I remembered Rogan fanboying out on Karo but I didn’t remember him doing it this much. Literally any position he is just saying at any given time Karo could reverse and finish the fight, no matter what. Which is true to a certain degree but man he could not be unbiased. lol
