KungFu IRON FIST is probably the BEST Unarmed Self-Defense System for the Elder Gentleman

I can’t imagine rolling around on the HARD ground working to well for the older chaps and seems that when one reaches a certain age his best HOPE is the “one shot one kill” strike because once the fight goes into the DEEP WATER he’s going to be GASPING realizing the LIMITATIONS of his AGED body

r/brucelee - Bruce Lee's iron fist was the result of relentlessly punching sand, gravel, and solid objects, which forged his knuckles into extraordinary resilience.

I bought this and saved 20 years of punching a steel plate

Also Bruce Lee was a manlet and couldn’t stop a takedown. One takedown and those fancy moves are useless

^^^^^^ This. Nothing but a Hollywood invention.

Bro just likes fantasizing about fists up his ass.

Putz

And Lou Reed couldn’t sing, but he spawned a ton of great bands

Best believe when I reach my twilight years, I will be carrying a self-defense cane

Deformed knuckles/hands looks unappealing to the strumpets who approach me during the weekends when I take a stroll down to my local cafe to enjoy a vanilla custard croissant and a cafe au lait. A part of my normal habit of gentlemanly leisure.

Those calluses, bone spurs, or “macho knuckles” can cause serious long-term health and mobility issues. While some traditional practitioners view them as a badge of honor, these structural changes are actually signs of chronic trauma and joint damage.

Chronic micro-fractures and cartilage wear lead to early-onset osteoarthritis. This causes permanent joint pain, stiffness, and swelling. As bone and scar tissue build up, the fingers lose their natural range of motion. This can make simple everyday tasks, like typing, writing, or gripping objects, difficult or painful.

The accumulation of thick scar tissue and abnormal bone growth can compress the digital nerves, leading to chronic numbness, tingling, or permanent loss of sensation in the fingers.

Traditional conditioning methods that repeatedly split the skin open create entry points for deep bacterial infections (like cellulitis), which can damage the underlying tendons and bone.

that wood DEFINITELY be a downside to training the IRON FIST as I have mentioned numerous times that those JiuJitsu EARS are worse than tattoos and just look UNFASHIONABLY REPULSIVE

Realistically, the “internal” styles of martial arts are better for senior citizens.

As for the cauliflower ears, I agree they look unseemly, and girls don’t seem to like them.
