Lamon Brewster Boxing World Champion Ep 203

From his 92 Junior Olympic run, to his NABO tite win over Nate Jones.

To his legendary upset over Klitchko, for the WBO World Heavyweight Championship. His fight with Golata and much more.

Lamon always said it was all because of our creator. Always gave props.

His story is epic, actually epic.

I cannot stand that word but dammit, it’s true.

He was 'aight.

Just “Aight”?

He made one of the greatest upsets in modern Heavyweight boxing history.

It wasn’t a fluke either he defended his title a couple of times.

Owes it all to the Lord and Savior.

The fact his story helped change boxing history…is that a coincidence or?

One of the greatest upsets in modern Heavyweight boxing history? Haha, damnit Captain, you sipping that Jesus juice like Lamon on this one! He knocked out Klitschko, who just a couple fights before that had already been completely OBLITERATED by Cory Sanders and shown to be totally human and beatable (and Chris Bryd had also beaten him previously, but I believe Klitschko had a claimed injury for that one). It was an upset of course but biggest upset in modern Heavyweight boxing history? The Cory Sanders fight was 100x more of an upset LOL. Then he beat Golota, but Golota at that point was a complete shell of anything he ever was or ever could have been. So nothing shocking or great there at all.

That’s basically all he has on his resume.

Oh, and Klitschko got his revenge and KOd Lamon as well.

So, yes, I stand by my original assessment, he was 'aight. At best.

Klitchko bros combined are complete legends in boxing HW history.

Lamon dispatched one of them. Grabbed a WBO World title and defended it a few times.

Respect, his story is awesome.

The guy is so chill and grateful, it’s one hell of a story here.

I definitely respect the guy, and I’m sure he is chill and grateful. But he still just 'aight.

Bump for a true warrior who was 'aight! Those days of boxing were the heavyweight good old days. When you set aside the late 80s and the earlyish 90s as the real heavyweight good old days in my lifetime. Love Merchant and Lampley, wished they had never shut off HBO boxing. :frowning:
