The Posse Comitatus Act doesnāt prohibit military involvement in domestic law enforcement, it limits that involvement. Insurrection is a valid use of the military. This is insurrection.
That being said, I think itās a mistake to involve The Marines. Marine Corps doctrine and training donāt exactly mesh with peacekeeping, especially in a politically sensitive domestic situation. I know I, for one, would not hesitate to place a tight three round group in someoneās thoracic region if they threw a rock or makeshift incendiary device my way. Iām not a cop, nor do I have any interest in acting like one. Threaten my life, threaten the lives of my brothers, and your life is forfeit as far as Iām concerned.

I think there was some of that but the point is he was able to deport as many as he wanted to. The Republicans were not trying to stop him and block every deportation in court. There were no riots either.

Democrats love to bring up the Posse Comitatus Act, because they pushed for its passage to prevent federal troops being used to suppress anti-black violence by the Democrat-controlled KKK during the Reconstruction after the Civil War. Its passage was actually a pretty shameful episode in American history.
