I haven’t read the book since it came out but I remember stuff like him dating his future wife when she was 15 and he was in college, getting into a fist fight with his dad and leaving him a bloody mess, vaguely recall a story about how he cut off a pigs testicles and slaughtered it or something to that effect.
But post-career and pre-train wreck there were allegations of him getting physical with his wife, restraining orders from his wife, brother and nephew if I’m remembering correctly.

He’s a sick person. Known bully, cheated with friends and training partners wives IIRC and liked to mutilate and laugh at baby animals suffering to death with their insides hanging out.
IMO the train should have finished the job.
