Member Joachim Hansen?

Massive upset at the time in the longest running MMA org ever.

SHOOTO.

Since 1985.

Joachim would give Takanori Gomi (14-0) his first loss and dethrone him of his Shooto title

Gomi won the title by UD over Rumina Sato.

He would defend and retain the title with wins over the likes of Johnny Eduardo, Chris Brennann, Leonardo Santos and Dokonjonosuke Mishima.

Hansen really flipped the switch over Gomi.

The offensive but scooting lol, no fear always coming forward he really just shut Gomi down everywhere.

Disputed by some it’s clear he not only shut down Gomi attacks but was also aggressive and always coming forward.

Joachim would lose this title in his first defense to Shaolin Ribeiro.

After this defeat. He would go on to win his next seven. With wins over the likes of GZ Cavalcante along with two KO wins over Caol Uno and Mazakatzu Imanari.

Hansen would also pick up a win over Sergey Golyaev by RnC.

Who much like Hansen would go on to win an upset victory over Gomi by SD in Sengoku 2008

I really enjoyed watching Hansen. It’s a shame we never got to see him in the UFC.

In this seven fight win streak after his loss to Shaolin.

He would also pick up a victory over the Thugjitsu legend

Hellboy would then find a 6 fight skid going 2-4.

Losing to the likes of Sakurai by UD and Kawajiri by DQ.

He would get back into the win column over Luiz Azerado

After a loss to Aoki he would pick up a battering win over Jason Ireland a 3 win in 1 night Victory Fighting Championship tournament winner and KOTC LW title challenger

After a UD loss to Eiji Mitsuoka he would win his next to including the opening round of the 2008 DREAM LW GP.

He would lose to Eddie Alvarez in the Quarterfinals but win his reserve bout over Canadian Kultar Gill.

Gomi wasn’t that good imo. He throw bombs and went 100 mph. If he didn’t blow you out of the water fast he gassed. He was exiting against cans but wilted against hood fighters. Did he ever win in the ufc? I thought he beat one guy who wasn’t very good.

He absolutely slept Tyson Griffin.

Had another couple wins.

Gomi is part of the transitional old guard. He was 15 years in to a brutal career by the time he got to the UFC. He had fights against the who’s who of the lighter weights and won against most of them but the very best at the time (BJ and Hellboy). “Wasn’t that good” is crazy.

Yeah no offense but this absolutely read like a NDA post
