I hope Nick makes it back. I like the dude. I saw him walking down the hall for a fight and he was mean mugging everyone with his fist clenched. Guy looked legit

I feel bad for Nick. He did a lot for himself and looked after Nate but he is just maladjusted in this world. Obvious (and well-documented) social anxiety issues. I don’t want him to come back to MMA but I hope he doesn’t self-destruct without its discipline, which I think is sadly likely.

I have sympathy for the guy. He grew up in a shitty situation and did everything he could to look out for his kid brother. That’s commendable. He’s clearly got a lot of unresolved issues and I hope he finds some peace for himself.

The Lawler debacle was awful. Lawler 1 was his coming out party, the rematch was just a fat, unfocused shell of who he used to be getting beat up by someone who was still a pro. If he had showed up ready and Lawler had still won, then so be it. But he should NEVER have been allowed to fight. Lawler is a killer and even he said he went easy on him by going more to the body than the head. It’s a sad state of affairs when a guy you previously KOed is having to be careful not to hurt you with strikes.
Lawler is a solid dude.
