OASIS LIVE 25 starts in about 6 hours

Curiosity. Like I said, I’m a fan of their music - and music in general - and there’s no denying it’s a big event/moment.

I saw Blur at Wembley recently and it was mind-blowing. I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was.

Obviously they’re a different band from Oasis, with a different energy/attitude, and more eclectic style, which makes them more timeless musically.

Blur are my favourite band, and just like back then, I’m never sure why they’re compared. Oasis are a simple Rock N Roll band. At this point Damon has done Blur, Gorillaz, Mail Music, The Good The Bad And The Queen and so much more. He’s up there with the Ray Davies’ & Paul McCartneys as far as British Writers go in music for me. The comparisons never did either band any favours.

I was surprised at Liams voice, it wasn’t peak by a long way, but it sounded like he’d at least been taking care of it since the last tour he did. Glad for the people who’ve paid because when he sung at the boxing just after this tour was announced it was truly terrible

Agree on all points.

Blur have aged really well as a band due to their ability to genre hop and their general musical depth. Coxon is also a big part of what makes them special - very underrated guitarist.

I expected the Wembley gig to feel like a ‘best of’ type return, but it felt like one of the best gigs they’ve ever played. Albarn was in tears and the whole band looked genuinely moved. They sounded amazing.

I saw Pulp’s return a few weeks before that too. That was also amazing.

same setlist so far tonight;

It’s just because at the time they were sort of battling to be top of the pops when that meant something, to some people.

It’s pretty cool that Noel is playing lead guitar again on these shows. I think they sound great, and seem to be enjoying themselves.

I’m gonna rip over and check them out opening night at Wembley.

It sure did to me, I bought two tapes of Country House to help Blur to Number 1 at a 14 Year Old! Then the Monday after, when they’d got it, and went straight to Woolworths and bought Roll With It :joy:

Looking back, certainly one of the worst songs Blur ever made, and not a great one from Oasis either!

Lol.

Woolworths, fond memories of browsing turtles and mighty max toys.

hey man, do you know if they ever play little james in concert? that song chokes me up every time, i would probably lose it if i saw them play it live.

it seems like a no brainer to me that it would have caught on as a song they would end every concert with, its emotional and then it turns into this great jam that is also somewhat melancholy with great crescendos , i can imagine pyrotechnics raining down as they eventually end and walk off stage.

just me then? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Today i’m gonna be the gay
That is gonna stick his dick in you
By now, you should’ve somehow
Realized i’m gonna fucking pack your poo
I don’t believe that anybody
Cums the way I do inside you now

[Verse 2]
Backshots, the word is on the street
That my dick inside your ass is round
I’m sure you’ve taken it before
But I’ve never really moaned a sound

I don’t believe that anybody
Cums the way I do inside you now

And all the dicks we have to suck are veiny
And all the cum we swallow feels too grainy
There are many ways that I would like to come in you
But I don’t know how

[Chorus]
Because maybe
My brother and I are gay-bees
And after all
You can lick my Balllllllssssssss

Great lyrics in that song too. I’m surprised they don’t swap it with Wonderwall on their setlist TBH.

If only Liam had written all their songs eh.

i will kill you jim GIF
