The franchise’s all-time leading scorer was eligible for the extension.
Booker averaged 25.6 points on 46.1% shooting and a career-high 7.1 assists last season in 75 games, the most he’s played since his second NBA season when he played a career-high 78 games in 2016-17.
The four-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA selection is entering his 11th NBA season. He’s set to make $53.1 million in the second of a four-year, $220-million deal.
The Suns suffered their first losing season since 2019-20, which was the last time they missed the playoffs before failing to do so last season. Phoenix finished 36-46 in 2024-25.

Crazy to think he’s 10 seasons into his career.
In a few years Booker is going to be what Beal is now, which is unwanted on any team looking to contend for a championship. Or any team that’s looking to rebuild.
You might be able to con teams like the Wizards and Suns into giving you that much money but the rest of the league won’t touch you with a 100 foot pole.
