I totally get earning it ahead of time and the coach deciding that after winning your fight can be a cool moment to receive your belt. Especially if it is a submission win.

Mmmmm. He kinda was, they just ham it up a little bit more for his own movie. Topherās Eddie/Venom was definitely closer to the comic version, but that wouldnāt have made for an anti hero that could be rooted for.
