Bummed to see Thompson taken out like that but good for Buckley.

When Wonderboy started exchanging more in the third you could tell he was flirting with danger. Can’t knock his corners advice though, I had Thompson up 2-0 but a lot of the press had it 1-1 or 2-0 Buckley.

I hope Thompson hangs em up, he is awesome but he looks older now with his hair greying and he is 41.

I don’t think he hangs em up, it’s only a 2nd KO loss in 20+ years of competing. But getting knocked out at 41 years old is not a good thing. 32 year old Thompson wouldn’t have lost to Buckley. I hope he’s okay, I’m gutted for him, that was hard to watch from one of my favorites.

The initial punch didn’t put him out but hurt him bad and he was on all fours… the follow up shot appeared to put him out, as his head dropped a little. Thankfully his arms were blocking the view so I didn’t have to see him out.

WTF. He looked as good as usual. He almost head kick KOed Buckley a few times. Buckley basically landed one big shot… but it’s the one that mattered. But it doesn’t make Wonderboy washed up!

On UFC Unfiltered last week he said he will keep fighting until his body can’t do it anymore, becaus he loves training and fighting. He looked good in there. We’ll see what he says after this

The ability to take a punch really starts to fade as you get older. Hard to tell with this one since Buckley was winging bombs. He might have knocked anybody out with that punch.

That’s the thing about Buckley… what he lacks in skill he makes up for with power and pure doggedness

Wonderboy has definitely slowed down, you can tell. But if his skills were 10/10 before, they are about 7 or 8/10 now. He’s still really fast and has great reflexes, although he has slowed down a little. He hasn’t had a steep drop off like most fighters.
