Hate to kick it off bitching, but the Sandler episode was disappointing. Could’ve been great, but Joe does most of the talking, mostly about standup, stories we have all heard before, etc.
10 or so min at the end there is SNL talk. Would’ve been great to hear more about that, Farley, Norm, movies, ‘They’re All Gonna Laugh at You’ tape, could go on and on. Sandler sounds like himself in the ‘I’m So Wasted’ skit most of the episode

Joe already said on the episode with Harland Williams that if there’s ever a case where another comic has a similar bit to Joe’s, it’s because he’s been doing his bits for a few years, and they’ve definitely stolen it from him

The Margg Harley one? He really tells some shit, and shares some stories. I was dying when he said Schaub would yell at them for being late but was regularlt an hor to 90 late himself.
Said one time he is late and as he gets to the studio he is directly behind schlub in his car. Suddenly schlub took a hard right and headed towards the rub n tug parlor down the street.

I thought Sandler himself was going to be a fake pain in the ass - I think the shiftiness of his movies (after they started going downhill) biased me.
But he was chill and pretty interesting. Although really he was just there to raise his profile to draw attention to his new special - he didn’t really even talk about it but it’s PR 101 to get onto Rogan if you have a new book, movie, concert what-have-you given the huge audience. Did sound like he was kissing Rogan’s ass a bit just to pander to the listeners.
Joe banging on and on about his own process and the intricacies of stand up ruined it - as it always does when he just carries on in his self absorbed way about that as if he’s some sort of founding father genius of comedy

Cause Adam Sandler fucking sucks. Happy Gilmore is his only good movie and even then the best part of it was him getting his ass kicked by Bob Barker. His main audience is 12 year olds.
