Got the “best athlete available” with the first pick, and traded the other two picks for a possible reach with upside. Both got size, but not exactly speedsters, but the Zegras addition no doubt changed the calculus there.
NHL Draft is harder to predict than other sports though, since only like 2-3 of 1st Rounders are NHL-ready every year.

Flyers got even bigger and slower with a 6’6 D-man in the 2nd, hopefully Amico can stay healthy and they develop him cause that’s a helluva frame to work with.

Most predictable by a mile is NBA.
A big reason for this is draft age and how long it takes to develop. MLB and NHL drafts 18 year olds. NFL and NBA drafts kids out of college that they use as a development league.

Carter is a local kid known his family for years. He is foolishly large and has been for a few years. He treats and body like a machine with clean eating and working out. Knee injury was brutal but he’s young. No ego at all . Fuck the flyers 1% less now lol .

Seriously what are the Kings doing? Because this is a shit show so far. They now need a second D pair. Really they need a full top pair because Doughty at this age is not a #1 D man. They needed a full middle 6 overhaul and they added 2 4th liners. Sounds about right.

Not much out there right now. The dude is so clutch in the playoffs. Hes going to score 6-10 goals for you in the playoffs. I hated him before he came to Dallas but he was the only guy that could put the puck in the net for a good stretch.
Perry is a good player and a capable R shot is which is something they’ve desperately needed for 3 years.
But they gave up Spence for peanuts, let Gavrikov and Jeannot walk. All this talk of we have money to spend and they’re adding cheap depth.
