Official UFC 329 McGregor v. Holloway 2 Thread

Yeah, no way he did that. Looks like Reaper was doing some stuff with the sole of his foot during the fight to stay dry so maybe some greased up fighter had rolled like a pig in the mud all over the Octagon. Guess we’ll never know.

At least Steveson sucked too given the hype.

There’s a fine line between God & karma.

Conor’s been talking a good religious game this week, and will likely put this situation down to a test of faith from the Lord, but it’s prophetic that his career ends this way.

A fighter with so much potential at his feet got swept up in all the chaos. The ‘Charges and controversies’ section of his Wikipedia page is longer than his fight bio. The guy is an absolute mess - don’t ever forget the mountain of madness (and the UFC’s willingness to turn a blind eye).

I’m also not convinced he was as motivated as he claimed. On Ariel’s show he was dismissing fame and money, and then in the build up to the fight, he was scrambling for every opportunity to peddle his MAC energy drink. Same old Conor.

How many times have we seen a similar situation in the Octagon, let alone in a main event with a tentpole fighter and record gate? Beyond rare.

You guys think the UFC knew about the injury and said, lets go?!!

Does conman know what the word “literally” means?

Hard to say as I don’t think he’s the type of person to be honest about it. The show removal stumble leads me to think he was. It’s pretty interesting Joe and DC picked that up. Definitely has TJ Dillashaw vibes, where he had the immediate dislocated shoulder, and then admitted it was happening everyday.

Yes. Hilary Clinton was staring him in the face as he typed that

Ok, he’s hit the whiskey - the posts are now coming thick and fast

I believe in one God,
the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.

God from God,
Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
consubstantial with the Father;
through Him all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation
He came down from heaven,

and by the Holy Spirit
was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.

For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
He suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.

He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and His kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the Giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.

I confess one Baptism
for the forgiveness of sins,

and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come.

Amen. :folded_hands:t3:

Well obviously he’s not a fighter anymore.

Conor would have been considered great if he walked away after the second belt and never came back. But all he’s done since is sell wolf tickets. What he did was impressive. He ended an all time legend inside of 15 seconds. Then went up in weight and won a second title. Say what you want but that’s impressive.

Just delusional as hell thinking a lot of fighters could have been a two division champion. I mean you’re literally insane. 99% could never win one belt, no matter what kind of push. He got pushed sure, right into prime Aldo, what a treat.
I hate Conor, he’s a piece of trash rapist and drug addict. But no need to pretend he wasn’t an amazing fighter.

So the answer here is no. No Conor is not a fighter anymore. He’s an old broken man. He’s broken physically and spiritually
