I can’t imagine why they’d do an interim title. It’s gone from “champ is injured and can’t fight for a year, here’s an interim title fight” to “champ is completely healthy but we can’t get him to agree to fight on the exact card we need a title fight for, here’s an interim title fight.” Interim titles now mean absolutely nothing, it’s just a #1 contender token.
