OG account archive

You can archive your OG OG account if you haven’t been banned. If you click on your avatar in the top right corner there is a pop out with a silhouette icon on the right. Double tap on it and it opens up your profile. There is a settings icon on the right and it will offer you the option to achive your account at the bottom of the account tab.
I don’t know what all it actually retrieves because its downloaded as a zip file and everything is in CSV format. Also I’ve always been a lurker but I hope it helps to retrieve some of our favorite threads before it all goes away.

I think this only works if you havent gotten tossed. I cant click shit there. I can only view UG threads. Cannot click any users profiles.

It downloads my 20 years of posts on the OG?
I guess my grandchildren will enjoy reading them when I die.

I dont know honestly. I figured people could use it to migrate some of the classic old threads over to here. Similar to the UG threads being scraped by U4EA. I assume it archives entire threads because only having your posts seems meaningless.

It should take a minute to process everything then give you a notification. That notification should have a link where you can download your account.

I did that and now it says it’s compressed as a zip file and I have it in my mma.tv, what do I do with it now? I’m assuming it’s a shit ton of memory and if I download it onto my Galaxy phone I’m going to have a problem

I had just 1000 posts in my 8 months and my zip is 2.34 mb, I can imagine a few of you may have a gig or 2.

A zip file is an archive. Open the archive and it will contain a csv, comma separated value file. Thats basically a spreadsheet without formatting. Think ‘excel’. It contains every post and dm youve made.

It will not be very big, as in file size. It will have voluminous records, but won’t be “big” in that it wont eat up all your storage.

Youll want to use a computer, not a cellphone.
