Post your thoughts, pictures, and plans about birds and all things related to birds.
We made a great thread on the og OG and I had an awesome time talking to the thread regulars. Hopefully we can keep going here.

Two nights ago I was awakened by a couple of owls outside my window. I busted out my Merlin app, having heard them before but never 100% sure of what they were. Turns out they were both Great Horned Owls. Next time I’ll try to get a pic.
There was a roadrunner in my backyard this morning. My dog might as well be Wile E. Coyote. He didn’t even get close to the fucker.
This three bird threads thing is bothering me more than the OG split.
MERGE! lol
I didn’t realize there were three of them. I’ll try to find them…
Wasn’t blaming you or anything, for all I know, yours may have been first.
I just want us to all agree on one.
Can we get a mod in here to merge those copycat threads into this one?!
I didn’t know that could happen. Neat lol.
Yea, when they hatched this Mexican was like wtf are those. I was like those are chickens. He was like I grew up with chickens and those ain’t chickens. As they got older I suddenly remembered the chicken rape I witnessed one morning while eating cereal. Son of a B was like Super Shredder, almost killed his father when he came of age.
Those are badass pics.
I saw a golden eagle on my morning hike today and that was pretty sweet
I had a pair of birds in my birdhouse again this summer. It was fun to watch. I think they were wrens again, but I’m not sure they weren’t slightly different. When they finally came out of the birdhouse, there were so many babies, and they were all huge relatively speaking, I wondered how they’d all fit in the birdhouse. I think I have some pics on my phone that I’ll post later.
Not this old lady thread again!
I put up two hummingbird feeders in my yard, because allegedly there’s several types in the local area even though I’ve never seen one.
I noticed the levels steadily going down the first week, but never actually saw one.
Then after week 2, when they were almost empty again I finally saw it! Some big stupid grey not-a-hummingbird holding on to the feeder upside down to suck it off.
Now I have two empty feeders to throw away. Stupid idea.
