I still say this fight was “hurt” by not having Joe Rogan commentating. You just know he would have exploded… in more ways than one. Gus Johnson….. well, not on the same level in conveying the excitement at hand.

I know “only” boxing but these guys genuinely tried to kill each other. Many consider the 1st round the greatest round of boxing ever.

Under Pride rules Wanderlei would probably have won this fight with a knee or shin to Chuck’s face at 7.57 of the video.

Fuck the pussified unified rules IMHO MMA would have been the second biggest sport in the world years a go if it had Pride rules.

Imagine Boxing if you were not allowed to throw uppercuts or body shots. It wouldn’t have been a fraction as popular as it is today.
