The only reason they’re getting more is to keep another defamation suit at bay. TKO doesn’t want to pay more.
The show/win pay structure was good for the UFC when they were bleeding money and not turning a profit annually. Now it’s just robbing the fighters blind. If they get rid of that and do a base guaranteed fight purse, bump the bonuses up to at least 100k, and give the fighters a path to some sort of individuality it’d be a noticeable improvement.
If dykes in the WNBA can demand a 200% pay increase, these fighters need to up their negotiation tactics. Sadly that’ll never happen though as most managers are in bed with the UFC.
Maybe we should throw green dildos into the octagon during fights?
