So, they announced Poatan vs Khalil as the main event at UFC 307.
What are everyone’s thoughts? Why no Ankalaev fight, is he still not ready?
Khalil is a great striker and already has a win over one Kickboxing legend (Gokhan Saki) so can he win this?
I think Alex is just too big and technical, either way both are finishers and it’ll be an exciting fight for as long as it lasts.
That’s a dangerous fucking fight for Alex.
Rountree is aggressive as hell.
I think Rountree has a shot, he is fast, aggressive and has power. Combine that and the fact he’s got nothing to lose and he’s a dangerous opponent. Just doesn’t make any sense to me that he’s getting the shot. I don’t like Ankalaev, but skipping him for Rountree makes no sense

Ankalaev hopefully will be next if Alex wins, then maybe if Hill wins let Alex starch him again, then let Alex test heavyweight.

UFC roster won’t like this. What does that tell them? Ankalaev deserved this. I would have supported Alex at HW, but otherwise, fight the #1 contender. Anyhow, I’ll still root for Pereira but that doesn’t create any more buzz than Ankalaev. Like none.
