The ref gave him the option to stand or reset on the ground. Joe accepted the ground then flipped out and quit.
That clip also skips the ref taking a point from the other guy, and joe throwing a hissy fit and demanding he quit until beltran talks him out of it (albeit briefly).
I just rewatched the whole thing. Beltran asked him if he wanted to continue the fight standing and joe pointed to the ground. Beltran confirmed “you want it on the ground?” And joe went and laid down on his back.

I’ve been watching some of this card and to me this is an improved version of PFL. I haven’t watched them in a couple of years because I got bored with the tournament format and the same fighters rematching each other.
I’ve seen 3 of the fights and they were all finishes. Pretty good pop in the crowd, definitely feels bigger than when I was watching before.
I don’t know if this is new for PFL but they’ve got some good fighters here and to me it’s starting to feel like a fight promotion and not a “league”. I think Hardy is a great addition to commentary and looks like they have their own rankings now. Matchmaking seems improved too.
Yeah I know Gooden fought and Benson is the main event but there aren’t many UFC washouts. Just a few.
